Les Alpilles, Baux de Provence, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence & Avignon - Full Day Tour

Departing from your hotel, your expert driver guide will drive you to discover the Provence beauties. As an extension of the Lubéron region, the rocky mass of Les Alpilles with its spectacular countryside has been classified as a National reserve since 2007. Inside this reserve, Les Baux de Provence is an extremely picturesque village. Classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, it is also one of the strangest place in Provence where an imposing deserted fortress stands like a natural extension to a huge rocky plateau. In this lovely village, you will discover some narrow streets, minute squares, the Chapelle des Pénitents and the Eglise Saint Vincent. Saint-Rémy de Provence is a small and charming village with many fountains and narrow streets. The village fame is largely due to the painter Vincent Van Gogh who spent a year there and painted two of his most famous works (Self-Portrait and Starry Nights). Avignon, The City of the Popes, is one of the most fascinating towns in southern France, all surrounded by massive ramparts. There, you will discover the Palais des Papes, a Unesco World Heritage, a medieval castle where seven Popes reigned. You will also enjoy the splendid 17th and 18th century houses, the Calvet Museum as well as the Cathédrale de Notre Dame des Doms.
