Versailles castle & Giverny - Full Day Tour

Departing from your Paris hotel, your expert driver guide will drive you to visit Versailles Palace and gardens and then to a visit of Claude Monet Giverny house. King Louis XIV transformed his father's hunting lodge into the monumental Château de Versailles. Built in 17th century, the castle remains France most famous palace. Your driver guide will take you into the Palace to visit the sumptuous Grand Appartements, the King's and Queen's bedchambers, and the remarkable Hall of Mirrors with its 17 great mirrors. After the visit of the Royal Chapel, you will enjoy a walk in the splendid gardens, designed by André le Nôtre, in the formal French style. You may bike on the 250 acres of Versailles splendid gardens, discover gorgeous fountains and ornamental lakes and see Grand and Petit Trianons (small palaces). You may also possibly visit Marie Antoinette's farm.   We suggest lunch in one of the typical bistrots around the Giverny village. After lunch, you will drive through the tiny country village of Giverny. Claude Monet lived there from 1883 until his death in 1926, in a rambling house surrounded by flower-filled gardens which is now the immensely popular Maison et Jardins de Claude Monet. Giverny other lure is the Musée de l'Impressionnisme. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, this museum displays works by various impressionists as well as temporary exhibitions.
