Marseille & Les Calanques de Cassis - Half Day Tour

Departing from your hotel, your expert driver guide will drive you to visit Marseille, the oldest French city, the second largest city after Paris and French largest port. You will discover a rich architecture in a city known for its narrow stepped streets with the Old Port and its fortification : le Fort St Jean and St Nicolas from the 12th century, the St Victor Abbey founded in the 5th Century, the harbor renowned for its fish market and the Basilica "Notre Dame de la Garde" with its amazing 360° panoramic view over Marseille. From there, you will go to Cassis. The panoramic road overlooking the bay of Cassis offers a beautiful view of the step-walled inlet known as the Calanques. Cassis is a charming little fishing port to see at the center of the national natural park, a 20 km stretch of high, rocky promontories, rising from brilliant-turquoise Mediterranean waters. Also known as the little St Tropez with its typical fishing boat called "Les Pointus", they are now sharing the harbor with yachts. There, you will stop in a winery to taste the renown Cassis white wine.
