Chantilly castle - Half Day Tour

Only 45 minutes away from Paris, this beautiful Château, built in the Renaissance style stands in the middle of a lake. The Chateau de Chantilly is one of the finest jewels in the crown of France cultural heritage. The place is linked to a man with an extraordinary destiny : Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale, The last King of France. Your driver guide will show you the state apartments, decorated with fine wood paneling and valuable 18th-century furniture. You will also visit the Musée de Condé featuring works by Raphael, Delacroix and Poussin. You will then visit the Great Stables, an 18th century masterpiece designed by architect Jean Aubert, at the request of Louis Henri de Bourbon, who believed that he would be reincarnated as a horse. Visit will continue with the Horse museum. Twice a day there are dressage demonstrations at the equestrian theater, within the building. Chantilly is surrounded by over 15,000 acres of forest virtually unchanged since the 18th-century.
